I LOVE HEADPHONES! Being a music and comedy junkie I have separate headphones for just about every type of music or dialect. My "daily Listening Headphones" are earbuds made by 1MORE. These are In-Ear Headphones and, I love them because they have a Triple Driver and sound terrific weather they are plugged directly into my phone or iPad, or run through my mobile amplifier (Fiio E17K ALPEN 2 USB DAC Headphone Amplifier).
These are In-Ear Headphones and, I love them because they have a Triple Driver and sound terrific weather they are plugged directly into my phone or iPad, or run through my mobile amplifier (Fiio E17K ALPEN 2 USB DAC Headphone Amplifier). My other headphones include Sennheiser, Sony, Audio-Technica, and of course my old Beats (which have since been donated to one of my children).
Like everyone, I buy my headphones via reviews, and off the shelf. Then I ran across Aiaiai. I was really taken aback when I saw I could design my own headphones! I had no idea you could order "custom headphones" to fit your musical taste. Not only that, you could customize your headphones from the "driver" to the ear earpads, to the headband. Oh, let me give that a try!
Before I got to the website I was sure this was going to cost a fortune! Boy, was I wrong!
The "Rock" headphones I was looking at were about 225.00 US. I was stunned. Then I started to play around with the configurator. YES, a configurator!. I can get different earpads. I can get different "drivers: or, speaker units as they are also called. I can even change the headband to fit my needs.
All of this sounds terrific but what about the "sound man?" What about the quality of the ruckus I wanted to receive in my skull?
I, as I am sure some of you will do, hit the old "Intertubes" and started reading some of the reviews. I was pleasantly surprised to read almost all of them were very positive. Huh. More good news for these headphones cause who doesn't love a good Amazon review? Am I right? Of course, I am.
Then I read the headphones have a three-year warranty. SAY WHAT!!!! That's just crazy talk but, no...they really do have a three-year warranty. Just think of the money you will save if you get your kids a set of these. "Dad? DAD! My right speaker is not working." Instead of having to buy a new set of headphones, if it's within the warranty, you get a replacement. And, since it's modular, all you have to do is replace the one piece that filed and your child is back in business. Super Dad to save the day!
So, in the near future, I will be getting a set of these headphones. I love the fact that my big head can finally have headphones customized to the kind of audio I listen to.
If you are interested in checking out these headphones, head over to the Aiaiai website and design your own. Read the reviews and see if you are also interested in getting a pair.
They look fantastic and just the fact that I can design my own set of headphones with a magnetic "driver" for under 250.00 US is amazing.
Sure, I am going to do a little more homework on them before I purchase a set as 250.00 US is nothing to sneeze about.
