Download Linux Integration Services 3.5 for Hyper-V

You probably know that the Linux Integration Services is a set of drivers that add quite a few important features to a few popular Linux distributions when run inside a virtual Hyper-V machine.

Linux Integration Services 3.5 new features 

Most noteworthy is the support of Linux/CentOS 5.5 and Red Hat Enterprise Linux/CentOS 5.6 and the new github repository. The open source code has been released under the GNU Public License v2. Other new features are:

- Key-value pair: Passes information such as guest IP, FQDN, OS version, host name between guest and host
- Hyper-V specific video device: Offers high-performance graphics and superior resolution for virtual machines
- Dynamic memory ballooning: Enables Hyper-V host to reclaim memory from the guest until the Minimum Memory settings is reached
- Live virtual machine backup: Provides uninterrupted backup while the VM is running
- Virtual fibre channel: Links a virtual machine directly to SAN storage
- VHDX resize: Expands and shrinks virtual disks that are attached to a VM
