Microsoft Pulls Update To Windows 10: Bad News For Fresh Installs

I wrote recently about Microsoft large update to Windows 10, which was released mid-November. The update, which was available via Windows Update, featured wide-ranging improvements to the OS. However, as well as some issues installing it, some people also found it was unavailable via Windows Update and now it seems it’s been pulled altogether from the Media Creation Tool (MCT).

The MCT allows advanced users to download a copy of Windows 10 to perform fresh installs. As I mentioned in my previous article on the update, it would be great if Microsoft could update this tool to include the new update released a few weeks ago. This would mean anyone reinstalling Windows 10 wouldn’t have to reinstall the large November update. It did just this and users have been able to use the tool to grab up-to-date copies of Windows 10 to perform fresh installs, saving a huge amount of time.
