Windows 10 Creators Update will allow Work Files to be placed on removable drives

Seriously...what's NOT being updated!

As Windows 10 has many professionals as its users, it’s essential for the system to have solid support for people’s work files. Although creating and managing work files in Windows 10 works pretty well, there are some things that still need to be corrected.

For example, some users are having troubles moving their Work files to a removable drive, because due to encryption, the files become inaccessible on another computer. This can be a problem, especially for those who rely on the constant transfer of files between computers.

However, starting from Windows 10 build 15002, Microsoft has changed the way Windows 10 manages Work files on removable drives, as users can now move them without fearing they won’t be able to access files on anther computer.

“Some enterprise customers have found that saving Work files to a removable drive would prevent them from accessing the files on a different device due to encryption. We’ve added a prompt to let you choose what you want to do in this case, which should make it easier to transfer work files to a removable drive”
